Ok, so I'm about to place a Musicians Friend order to grab a 12-pack of Clayton Spike teardrop picks. They're $4.99, and shipping is $5.99, which seems a bit silly. So, since I've been meaning to throw a set of EL34s in my Roadster anyway, I think it's time for new tubes.
What's good? The Rubys and Svetlandas are dirt cheap, I could grab a quarter for about $50, which is kind of tempting, but up in the $80-90 range there are some more options - Groove Tubes, reissue Mullards,
These look kind of fun:
Buy Groove Tube Gold Series GT-EL34-M Matched Power Tubes | Tubes | Musician's Friend
Groove Tubes are overpriced junk - keep away.
Shame they don't have any Dragon's.
