Atomic Reactor cabs/wedges. Help me decide which.

So, I've been on the waiting list & I'm now at the top of the list. I have 72 hrs to place my order before they move on to the next guy in line. So....

I know I'm going passive since I already have a poweramp.
Should I get a pair of cabs or wedges?
These would be used with my Axe-FX Ultra.

    Let's hear your thoughts....

I think cabs might be more versatile. I've tried using a wedge as a stage monitor before, and unless you're standing RIGHT in front of it, you can't hear it. With cabs, you can stack them, separate them, stand them vertically, horizontally, or lean them back if you want them aimed a bit more at your head.

^Yes, depends on how much you move around on stage really. If you're pretty much static, wedges are the way to go.

Don't worry about people talking behind your back, it just means you're one step ahead and they're in perfect position to kiss your ass!

wtf question is that? Cabs dude. use wedges for auxilary monitors only. you need like 2 or 3 wedges to get enough cross coverage to make for a half decent monitor system, running less than 89489849 watts

I prefer wedges to be honest. For bedroom jamming, the speaker is aimed at your face instead of your knee, so you get a better idea of the true sound of your amp. Live, I've never once relied on the sound of my speaker cab, almost alway relying on monitors or the sound guy. Of course that depends on the style you're playing.

I've been seriously thinking of trading in my guitar cab for a couple of these lately. If I do it, I'm getting cabs. Be sure to post about how you like them, whichever ones you get.

Is there a reason that you're not just going direct?

Also thinking of flipping my VHT cab and Carvin DCM1540L for one of these. I have heard enough reliability issues to make me think long and hard about it. I would probably go for the cab. You can always throw it on a tilt stand.
