Anybody looking at my prior posts might sense a theme....
I have an Axe-FX ultra coming, and I want a foot controller for it.
I want each button to be assignable something consistent (like button 1 is drive, button 2 is chorus or delay or something... with maybe button 5 and 6 or whatever depending on the actual present), and with a wah pedal/volume pedal.
I am open to the wah/volume being a separate item.
In an ideal world, this thing is built like a tank, easy to move, and has a tuner indicator built in.
Start here, and here.
The Behringer FCB1010 with the Uno IC mod is very attractive with its 2 built-in expression pedals, but a) I have a horrible taste in my mouth for Behringer, and b) it does not support phantom power, meaning the Axe-FX can't send power to it. So that's one more wire on stage that I don't want.
The Rocktron MIDI Mate seems like a better option with phantom power, 7-character LED and already has the ability to access both presets and stomp on/offs.
If you want a tuner built in, see the chart: you can only get a Liquid Foot, Gradius or the Fractal MFC-101.
EDIT: Has the MIDI Mate been redesigned somehow? Compare Sweetwater/Rocktron's photo to Musician's Friend's photo:
