Yeah, I think the Rhoads is really no different than the Les Paul - both "names" have come to refer to the particular body shape, rather than the man who designed/played them.

You see FAR more ad campaigns with other people holding a Rhoads or a Les Paul than you do ads featuring Randy or Les, you know?

From what I read about the Dime heads, they contacted the designer of the Randall RG100ES (Dime's amp of choice for most of his career). The Dime amp is basically a RG100ES with a few updated tweaks so the consumer doesn't have to use all the outboard gear Dime used to get his sound.

which to a certain point would be worth it then. I mean lke if you were ina Pantera/Damage Plan cover band then way not. but also to the fact that the Les Paul and Rhodes guitars are more for the shape I can see that.
