Oh man, this has been an adventure. It's also been tedious, since I can only get a couple hours in each day to measure cut and solder all these cables...To ake matters worse and better at the same time, this weekend is entirely taken up by a visit from my girl, so I'll be back to 2-3 hours a day to finish it up over the course of next week.
That said, i have accomplished a large chunk of the work, and thought I'd share.
The workspace! I accidentally got some solder in my carpet, too. That sucks.
Front of the rack.
The pedal drawer. I still need to mess with the placement of the cables once I get them all finished. I should add that the Maxon OD808 is just a stand-in for if I can't make the 10-band EQ work as a boost pedal for solos. So we'll see. If i need one, the Maxon will be removed and replaced by a boost.
And the back of the rack. No power cables, or anything else. Just the mono connections, so far. They'll all be zip tied together once I have all the cables made, and final placement sorted out. It opens and closes smoothly, with no tangles, so I'm pleased thus far.
If anyone knows how to make power cables shorter, I'd love the info, I really don't want to have a giant hideous bundle of power cables velcro'd to the side/top of the rack.
Looking good, man!
