I love that he uses as much gain as I do.

One of the better examples I've seen, since it's mostly riffing and not much shredding. Tone being subjective, imo the recto sounds fantastic.

And somewhat related (since I needed a place to post it), I love the run he does around the .25 mark:

I realize that's "slowing down" for him , but either way, I think it's awesome.

    That Recto tone is glorious!
"The greatest power one may possess -- in any situation -- is simply not to care what happens.

"In fact, it's the only power, all others being a semblance and mockery of it. But you must also not care about possessing the power itself. So fuck it."

He's running into a VHT Two/Ninety/Two power amp. Those things would make ANYTHING sound fucking awesome. As in, Metal Zone -> VHT sounds amazing. Talk about stacking the deck.

That Recto tone is pretty fantastic. Man, it blows me away how he can pick so fast and so clean. His legato is really smooth, too.

Really impressive as usual. Amazing player, and it's really cool that he does this for his forum members. I dig the tone. How does that guy not have hand/wrist/arm issues?

I've gotta say the lip smacking he does when he talks drives me bat-shit crazy!

Probably because someone at work does that too, and I fucking hate them.
