Exclamation My 1st amp demo video & I need your help.

So, a huge amp manufacturer has contacted me about becoming a product specialist for their new series of guitar amps that will be coming out soon.

My 1st test was to make a video just to show them what I could do. For the purposes of this video, they said to pick a guitar amp you really like or own & make a video based on that. They specified that it didn't have to be professional. It's more for them to get a sense of who & what I'm about. If they like what I do on the video, my 2nd test is to do an in-person demonstration at the company HQ. From there, they will pick the best candidate.

With this in mind, I ask that you take a look at the video below & post your comments in the youtube comments section. Remember, my perspective employers will see your comments if I approve them, so play nice.

This is the 1st video I've ever done, so enjoy. More are too follow since this was a lot of fun. Also, I included a brief high-gain section for 7 & 8-string guitarists since most demos don't show that.

Very nicely done bro!

The only thing I'd change next time is a little more time on the actual playing segments, but otherwise - !

Man, that amps sounds really good! It really nails some tones. The Metallica Master of Puppets one nailed it.

Impressive.

Nice man! Maybe tell them that you'd normally record with it mic'd but since this is just a demo, you're using the camera's built-in mic?

@spawn - the poster is actually for the Seattle-based Jar Of Flies I've been with for over 4 years now (I.e. the only AIC tribute endorsed by AIC & layne's mother).

@chris - thanks, man! I had a 10 min time limit & had 14 mins worth of material, so I had to make some hard editing choices. I was concise as possible about the features (the sales pitch), so I had to severely trim the examples. I will probably make an extra video of the extended playing examples.

@jaxadam - thanks. I think I got real close to some of those tones. They did want me to use a lot of classic riffs everyone would know.

@sami - yep, that was just the camera mic. I've never used a webcam & I've never done any recording, so this was a total learning curve.

LOL...yeah, I've been a monster EVH fan since I was a little kid. I think I nailed those tones. Another part of the criteria was to show that I could actually play. I figured stuff like that would give them a pretty good impression that I could play the frilly stuff everyone would know.

They all sounded really good. Some of the Pantera ones were pretty spot on, as well.

That's a pretty badass amp.
