So I recently upgraded to V30s to replace the 5150 cab w/Sheffields that I was previously running. I've found that the Sheffs actually seem to respond better to super low tunings- P.m.s on 8 string type of registers- but are shrill/strident with higher notes. The V30s actually sound a little muddy down there, but respond great to A and higher.
The V30s may be Chinese or something else not British in origin. Can this be a factor in sound quality? It's a Line 6 Spider Valve cab, BTW.
Any similar experiences with 8s through the V30s?
