true but I'm a bedroom player dont really lug my amp places at all, only time I'll ever lug it somewhere is for repairs or something but that's very rare cause I take good care of my shit and probably eventually will learn to fix it myself.

Trust me, head + 2x12 is just a better idea. Also, Rectos make shitty home amps; they need to be pretty loud.

Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

I was thinking you were referring to some sort of maintenance thing, but the only gear I ever take outside of the house is my guitars. I can carry a combo just fine plus I drive a corolla no way I can fit a half stack in there, hell I'm lucky if I can fit a 212 in it.

Don't forget, you have to try it in every room in your house for optimum tone.

Not only is the head/cab more flexible/portable/versatile, but it will allow you easier GAS options when you feel like trying different cabs etc. It's also MUCH easier to resell, even if we're talking 5-10 years down the road when you've moved on to a different rig.

Making metal every night and day.

Head + Cab = yes, but 4x12 > 2x12 IMO. I had a Recto 2x12 and ended up selling it to Drew, because I liked the 4x12 sound better.

The Roadster is a great home amp, and I don't have a hot plate. It has a little low volume fizz, but it quickly goes away with a bit of volume. You don't need to crank it at all for it to sound good.

wasn't the 2X12 better for the 'at home lower volume playing"/

I don't need no stinking tubes

Eminence Puts a New Twist on Guitar Tone | Eminence Speaker

I'm getting a Maverick. Supposedly they sound good, and effectively lower the volume 9db, which is like making a 50w a 7 watt.

Nah, the 2x12 was better for fitting in my car. I wish I kept it. I keep trying to talk Drew into a 4x12 so that I can buy it back from him.
