Hi, this is my first post so greetings!
I have a couple of questions regarding using rack effects with my current setup.
As of now, I am using an Engl Fireball 60 (two channels non midi) into an Engl 4x12. I run a buttload of pedals in its effects loops and use a boost and noisegate in front of the amp.
I am getting tired of tap-dancing, and my pedals are no longer suiting my needs. I like to use multiple effects at once and suddenly switch to other effects and/or amp channels.
So I came up with a future setup that I will slowly but surely acquire.
The rack would consist of:
Power Conditioner -> Parametric EQ -> Multi Effects Processor ( Digitech GSP i'm thinking) -> A Drawer for boost pedal and noisegate -> Wireless System.
My questions are, How would I go about connecting this to my head and cab? And could I get a foot controller that would be able to a) switch my amp's channels, b)turn on my boost pedal, and c) switch between different patches that use effects, amp channels, boost, and etc. at once?
I just would like to run many effects at once, but be able to shut them off all at the same time. Thanks for any help.
A TC Electronics G Major II can do channel switching along with patch changes, and has two relay ports, I believe. However I think it was Noodles here that preferred using it with an Amp Gizmo.
Regardless, yes it's most certainly possible. You could program the patches, then step on a midi controller and it would change both the effects patch and the corresponding amp channel all with one tap.
