All Axe-Fx units (at least the 1st gen units) have the same collection of amp sims. More will likely come to the 2nd gen units, and possibly not to the 1st gen units.

Why do all the modelers (Axe, POD, some software apps) model the shitty Engls, and not the cool ones, like the Savage 120 or SE?

No. The Powerball does not sound like the Savage. The Savage sounds like an amp. The Powerball sounds like a donkey getting buggered by an elephant.

Definitely not. The Powerball is an expensive, highly compressed solid state amp with costly tube decorations. The Savage 120 sounds fucking awesome.

Shut up, I was making fun. And the Powerball is not a piece of shit, it's just... I dunno, kind of like a Krank or something. It works for some, not many.

Jeff, there just isn't enough space for a trillion models. I can't attest to any of the other modelers, but the Powerball model in the Axe-Fx gives the option to add a classic Engl sound to the stable. Yes, there are like 3 or 4 Rectifiers, but they're like, 100x more popular than Engls. So it makes sense to me.

Whether the lead channel on a Savage is necessarily better than the lead channel on a Powerball, I dunno, but in the case of FAS the man just worked with what he could get his hands on and he perhaps had a hard time snagging a better Engl.

Wouldn't an Axe II + tube power amp be close to 3k though? Unless Shannon has a power amp already. He was saying that he didn't have the cash to spend that much at this time.

He doesn't want another Axe-Fx, so why is everybody trying to talk him into one?

Also, Shannon, why you ditchin' the Coreblade, bro?

I'd personally go for a road king since you can dial numerous amounts of toanz.
