Great piece of gear, love mine. Definitely not much of use in the factory presets, but once you start dialing it in, it's great.

I also figured out I was dialing things in backwards, in that I would set a sound I liked then try to pick a mic and cab model that worked with it, but that's all wrong. Best idea is to set it flat-ish, pick a mic and cab combination that sounds close to what you're looking for, then tweak everything else.

The Acoustic Air preset is awesome.

Other than that, yes, typical Line 6. I don't know why they always release their gear with the worst possible presets.
