Which AMT preamp pedal?

So , I sold my XXX last night to a good friend of mine and I'm putting a portion of the fund acquired into the purchase of the new mini rig! I already know I'm buying the EHX 44 magnum as a poweramp, but the question is which pre do I want? I've heard a lot of clips of them, and some people seem REALLY confused as to how the pedals actually work

Bear in mind it does not have to me one the "metal" models either. I'm open to suggestions since I don't really have an amp than can so a mid-ish gain rock tone really well. Which one do you guys like the best? also if you've got recorded clips, I'd like to hear them too. Having a decent (and small) direct recording option is one of the reason I'm looking at these as well.

Poll should be above, assuming I can figure it out, if not, just leave suggestions/reasons for liking it over the others.

Engl has my vote, haven't heard many of them but from the ones I did hear, I enjoyed the Engl one the most.

I went for P1 purely because I've been thinking about getting one

I've only tried the first three. And I liked the Bogner the best I think...

I went through the same thing this week! I was doing a thomann order and I was planning on picking up one of these, I was stuck between the bogner, recto and soldano ones. I still haven't decided, but I know I didn't really dig some of the Engl clips I had heard so I ruled that out.

Maybe I shouldn't have voted, but I voted for the R-1 because that's the only one I have.

Looks like the S-1 is in the lead. I was originally going to get that one just because there was one for decently cheap located reasonably close to me (Toronto). That ship sailed now, but We'll see what my youtube dredging can turn up.

The video on the AMT's site is pretty stellar:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLhIj3WG25g]Sergey Golovin-''Uncle Eddie''(AMT S1 Demo) - YouTube

Lovin that sound, even though they're not using their own cab sim out, and a bunch other stuff, but it's still pretty good.

EDIT: SOOOOOO, an hour and a half digging on youtube for good demos of these have turned up barely a handful of usable demos. I find one that sounds awesome, then a dozen more for that pedal that make it sound like complete rubbish. Looks like I'll be forging my own path ONCE AGAIN because with the exception of Ola, and a handful of others spread across the vastness of the internet, apparently no one knows how the fuck to use these pedals or even dial in a usable metal tone. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother looking.

Had a P1, real 6505+ made it sound like a toy, RP1k 5150 model made it sound like a fizzy/fuzzy mess. This was through the effects return of an amp, never bothered with direct, and was happy to sell it when the HC hype for these took off.

I voted for the Engl one btw, since that has the best sounding online clips.
