Alright guys. I'm in a bit of a pickle and I need some help.
I joined a band recently and the other guy runs an AxeFx into a QSC K12. It sounds massive and super clear. I also really dig how lightweight the rig is. I hate having to lug heavy shit around...
ANYWAYS! My rig is currently incomplete. Not only that, but I have $0 to spend. I have an Axefx, but don't have a power section. I also have a 2x12 cab. I had to sell my poweramp awhile ago.
The way I currently practice is sending the output from the axefx into my firestudio mobile, into my studio monitors. The cab has just been sitting....for forever now.
So the only options I can think of is get a poweramp and use the cab, or sell the cab and get a powered PA speaker. The first option isn't likely since I will not have any funds to put towards this.
Soooo, here is what I'm hoping you can help me with. Whatever I can sell the cab for will be all I can spend. I obviously can't grab anything as nice as the K12s. I'm hoping to sell my cab for around $350-400.
I've looked at the Mackie TH12A and TH15A. Any other suggestions? Keep in mind, it will need to be powered and keep up with a full band. It will also be alongside the K12.
Also, one of the things I like about the PA speaker idea is most of them seem to be lightweight. It's a plus for me.
The reason I don't have a budget is because I am saving for a wedding. So my gear purchasing is limited to what I can sell.
