Sloppy as all hell on lead and I just threw it in my generic Reaper multi-track template so this is fairly unmixed, though I've had the drum track sitting around for awhile. After getting past the simply dreadful stock presets, I started with a blank palette and began making my own. I found the unit pretty intuitive, if a bit limited compared to the Axe FX, but I feel I'm getting better tones quicker with the HD500. That could also be that I'm understanding modelers now a bit more too than when I got the Axe FX.
The rhythm guitar is the Treadplate (rectifier) with a compressor and drive in front, the lead is the Angel F-Ball (engl) with a compressor and drive in front, and a delay and verb behind, and the bass is the BF double norm with a compressor in front and an eq after. There's some EQ in the mix but not much and it's actually fairly dry.
Anyway, I thought you guys might dig a quick/dirty clip of the pod. I'm going to back up everyone else's opinion that this thing is a wonderful tool for recording.
Really digging the sounds!
