Damn, I finally got around to firing up the DC-5, and as someone (Noodles? Mike?) mentioned, boost the mids on the regular EQ, then scoop on the graphic EQ........Holy. Shit. Awesome sound is awesome!
I can't believe I hadn't tried this before, though I'm generally afraid to fuck with my EQ once I've got it where I want it. Now I've got a new favorite tone. This thing sounds just beastly.
So thanks guys, for mentioning that. Normally blasting the mids would sound like it wouldn't work, but with the GEQ doing its thing, it most definitely does work!
going to try that on my svt-4 pro, it has bass mid and treble knobs, along with a 9 band eq
update: by setting my mid frequency to, after some experimentation, 5, and boosting the mids, while scooping it on the eq, this douglas is sounding like a warwick :-)
