I purchased a Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor a few weeks ago, and am still getting some feedback here and there. I don't have a lot of money for experimenting with new pedals and I'm currently running it through an Electric Randal 120W Amp head, and a Randal cabinet, in conjugation with my Boss MetalZone. Any "feedback" (puns aside) would be appreciated in this instance.
Just to give some background, I'm mainly a metalcore/post hardcore guitarist similar to the styles of Sea of Treachery, As I Lay Dying, The Ghost Inside, ect. Thanks for any imput you have for me
I know nothing of your overall setup and situation, but at this point, I have two pieces of advice.
A) The NS-2 will never kill all of your feedback unless you totally squish your signal, which will suck for many reasons. There are better pedals, such as the ISP Decimator, which still will not kill your feedback, but can better help tame it while preserving your tone and dynamics better.
B) The cheapest and easiest thing to start with is turning down your gain, including EQ knobs, and considering whether your environment, such as a small room with hard surfaces, is enhancing the feedback.
