Default Back to the land of the living!

I just pulled the trigger on an immaculate looking 50/50 on Ebay for $400. So I'm back to having a tube amp again

I'll eventually upgrade back to a 2:90, 2:100 or Triple Rec, and my new rig of HD500 and 50/50 isn't quite my Axe FX / 2:90 rig I had 6 months ago, but hey, with the sacrifices to buy a new house and my other expenses lately I think I'm doing quite alright. Who knows, I'm really happy with the HD500 for recording, this might actually be a pretty nice little rig.

BTW Chris I still have that gaudy dB meter and yes I'm going to pack a 4 space with that in it

Was that the nice looking "holdsworth's amp guy owned this" one? That one looked like it was in amazing shape. I've been looking at reacquiring a 50/50 to pair with my e630 preamp as well. Great power amps.

nah it was this one. Guy in TX just put it up tonight with a BIN of $400. Pretty good shape, next to no rack rash and it probably just needs a dusting and a re-tube.

Fuck man it intrigues me how cheap mesa goes for in the US. 400USD is what I would pay for an ass Squier guitar over here if I bought one new. :/

Import markup dude. Engl is expensive as hell over here, as well as companies like Mayones (which I fucking want!).

Foreign prices are a double edged sword. Local distributors have to make some money off them, but the real cause is Mesa - they don't make it easy so their products are always very expensive. It's crazy to think you could have two Peavey 6505+'s for the cost of a dual rectifier...or an Engl Invader, Orange cab and an Ibanez RG1527 for the cost of a Road King.
