NAD: Blackstar Part I & II... Epic twist!

Meant to post this when I joined but was busy with Uni stuff. Enjoy.

    Part I: Onto the Pornz!!!!

So I placed an order for the Blackstar HT Club 40 about 4 months ago through a store. What should have been a few weeks to get here turned into about 6 weeks and still nothing. So I gave the store a call, and asked them what's happening. They knew nothing about it and then told me they'd ring me back (you could almost hear in the guy's tone of voice that he was like "Shit, there was an order placed??? " ). They rang back and told me that while the supplier didn't have any in stock and that they could box up the demo one they had in the store. While a bit peeved, I decided I'd take it as I had gigs coming up and I needed this really soon (I thought I was going to get it a few months ago at this stage!). So here' s the pics.

    Fuck Yeah... Goodies!

Next to the spider III 15 that I've had for ages.

It's a great amp. The overdrive channel doesn't quite get into metal territory but can get you can get around a AIC tone which is cool. I haven't got a boost yet so I can't give a great description on the OD channel for metal. One thing is for sure though, the unboosted overdrive certainly is not tight. The best thing I love about this though is it's clean channel. I got this over the HT-20 as this has the dark/bright reverb switch and the voicing switch and both of those really do make this a versatile amp. I'm a fan of those really warm full bodied cleans and this delivers in spades but this can also sound awesome when you break out the strat and go for much brighter, "spanky" tones. I'm very, very pleased with this purchase.

And putting the Line 6 Spider III that I had for so long where it finally belongs... In the trash!

Just kidding... It's been a little ripper and served me well, so it stays.

Part II: Revenge of the BS.
Well today there's a knock at the door and a new big box, WTF???
Here's a video explaining the situation because it was quicker and easier for me to make a video on it.

    So in summary...
The first one which I've been using very happily since I got it.

and the new WTF surprise one that arrived today.

    Lucky guy!

I'm going to order a JPXI7. If this doesn't happen to me as well, I'll cry and blame you. Are you obligated to send it back or something though?

@Armada & AySay: Yep, I will be returning it (Ughhh bye-bye stereo-rig ). I've got to ring them on Friday to sort this shit out, as the place is closed now and I'm at work tomorrow.
