Ok.. Its time for me to get a new "house Rig"
Currently, I've been running Pod Farm on the puter through an XD-1 into a Samson power amp anto monitors on the wall for my recording and general practice rig.
My live rig is a Digitech Gsp-1101 running C48 into a rack EQ, a BBE and a Samso Servo 240 power amp into a pair of Mesa 2x12 verticals..
I've never been sold on the GSP1101... Its good.. but.. even when i was running a MESA 2:90 power amp.. it just seems.. Blah..
I liked my 3.66 modded ADA MP-1 thorugh a TC G-Major and the 2:90 much better.. but the Mp-1 has developed.. issues and i sold the 2:90 when i left the last band... (still got the g-major though)
Soooooo I've been looking at getting something that would do BOTH.. be my home recordiing and practice setup and my stage rig if i decide to start playing out again...
Its gotta do EVERYTHING.. I will follow Johnny Cash with Amon Amarth for petes sake..... I'm not shitting you... people are always freaked out by the mixes i have in the car!
I've been sniffing around an it looks like the HD500 or the Eleven rack might suit the bill (Axe FX is just to fuggin expensive for me to justify to myself.. if i was a working musician maybe.. but i'm a fat old guitar builder anymore....... so thats a no go)
for power...another Mesa 2:90 or VHT is a definate..... the samson servo 240 just aint a tube amp.. and I feel castrated without one... that "whump" just aint there without tube..
and i've run a stereo rig since the 80's... so, I'll be staying stereo
so.. what do you guys think on a processor?
(I'm working on getting my MP-1 fixed to run whith the G-major as a backup...... but.. while its got 128 presets.. its only got one model and thats MP1-3.666 LOL!)
