Browsing my local Craigslist, I found a pretty old ad with a guy selling his Mesa cabs. He described one as a Mesa Recto OS cab and the other as a Recto Standard. I messaged him, and surprisingly he still had both. He didn't have any pictures, so I asked him to text me some pictures of both. Well, the Recto OS one was indeed a Recto OS, but the other one, I noticed had gray/silver piping. I told him I would like to come check them out. I get over there with my trusty tape measure and measure the non-OS cab. It had the perfect Stiletto dimensions. So, I bought it. I like the tighter response of the smaller cabs. The OS cab can get tight, but the smaller ones can just get tighter. He also threw in a free Boss NS-2 pedal. Can't beat that, since I was looking for a noisegate pedal anyways. haha

- Bought Mesa Stiletto 4x12 for $400
- Got a free Boss NS-2
I know that the Stiletto cab used to be called the Recto Traditional or something, and I guess this is what he was going by. If it is a "Recto Traditional" and not a Stiletto, then the speakers should be nice and broken in. I haven't had the chance to play it yet, so I hope the speakers aren't blown. He seemed liked a pretty stand-up fellar, so I hope my judge of character is right and all is well.
As far as the Boss NS-2, well I have something in store for it since it is one of the ones that is old enough to mod.
For $30, it is worth a shot.
