57 Minutes long, pretty cool historical documentary.
The wah-wah's sound is so versatile, it's closely associated with both Jimi Hendrix and porn. But when was this guitar effects pedal invented, and how? And wouldn't you like to see talented guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, Slash, and Kirk Hammett imitate its vaguely human crying sound? Find a spare hour to watch this documentary, Cry Baby: The Pedal that Rocks the World (thanks to Boing Boing). The film can get pretty geeky, but it's mostly fun geeky (Van Halen says Geezer Butler plugged his bass into a wah pedal for a solo on the first Black Sabbath album, Slash says his favorite wah moment is Jeff Beck on "Superstition").
