I took my 5150ii up to post gain- 9 today. I had to walk around two corners in my house to stop the feedback. It sounded godly.

*The necromancer walked slowly to the steaming cauldron, he raised his arms above his head, a light in his eye. He began to utter the sacred word of resurrection: BUMP!*

Dimed the mids on my 5150ii today, with bass on 7, treb on 8, res on 7 and presence also on 8. Sounds beastly, boosted or not, but an overdrive pedal set to favor the treble end just made it sound so cutting it was wonderful. I was also playing a mahogany guitar, so the frequency response was really wide, and the bass was nice and tight, with a crunchy high end. basically, it sounded awesome, and would be perfect for a live situation or recording. Plus, if I want old-school chug I just activate my graphic with a slightly-sewn-together smile.
