Soooooo... After almost 5 months of waiting, it's finally here. What does FA stand for? Well see for yourselves!

After much eye rubbing it seems that I am not hallucinating. The older brother is bit shorter.


Time to battle with the monster that has a bazillion tentacles! It is a battle of wits!


After a long and furious battle that resulted in several scars from the monster, I can claim victory!


Can I claim this a total win?! Can I? (Minus the Behringer crap )



I spent about a couple of hours going through all the presets and I found a few that I fell in love with immediately. That didn't happen as much with my Ultra. I haven't really tried building a patch yet other than minor tweaks here and there. Needless to say it sounds amazing.

The question is, does the Ultra sound as good as the II?! I'm not sure. I plan on "transferring" my patches on the II and then making a few A/B tests to see if there are any noticeable differences and post them here. I think it would be cool for people that are trying to decide on getting a II or a used Standard/Ultra for much less. If you guys have any requests on specific amp models let me know, I'll try to do as much as time allows. The good thing is I have 4 days off work, that will give me plenty of play time!

I was about to say based on the poweramp and the fireface this looks like a recording rig so 2 axe fx's seemed a little ridic. Definitely should let us know whats good with the ultra vs the 2 in terms of final sound quality and not just ease of tweaking.

i'd definitely be interested in an Ultra/II A/B of Das Metal and FAS Modern, and the MKIIC+ 1.
