... So? Update?

I'm considering buying one myself. It's 319$ on hellomusic.com today.

I have the M5. Plenty of great effects on there, very tweakable and programmable. Wouldn't mind an M9 for a couple weird effects chained together, but the M5 does what I need most of the time since I only really use one effect at a time.

Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

The G System stuff is too much for my needs.

Update? There is none. Money is being pulled from me in all directions It may be another month before I can build a new pedal board.

The M5 may be a smart option for me as well because I am not sure that I would use layered effects either.

The M5 does not have the looper, and changing between effects isn't the easiest thing in the world (you have to step on both switches at once) but it has a tuner and is a great swiss army knife for everything from plate shimmer reverb to Big Muff-style fuzz to the crazier filters and Seek Wah kind of stuff.

Well, I wouldn't use a looper for anything ever, and I would be controlling it with a MIDI footswitch. As long as it can properly handle patch changes I'd be fine with it. The M5 would save me money if I could make it work as well as the M9 would.

I'd put the M9 in the loop. I don't care for the distorsions on it, but can take 5 seconds and plug it in front if I want to fool around. I ditched the G-Sharp and the DTR-1000 in order to have everything under the feet. Well, it was workable, but I wanted to get rid of the rack and have just the amp's head on the speaker. Above all, I want more than only delays and reverbs. Moar toanz, more fun.

I am trying to move all effects and switching to the floor to reduce rack size and to make the effects setup more flexible in case I move to a normal head in the future. I've been gassing over a Carvin V3 lately
