I am forwarding a question a friend of mine asked me: what is the difference between the Bugera 6260 and the Bugera 6260 Infinium?
I told him that what infinium does is that it basically makes the amp distribute the load equally over the tubes, and this increases the lifespan of the tubes, and one can easily change just one and keep the rest should one break. Also the infinium models can be equipped with different tubes instead of using 4 identical/matched ones. This is what I think that I've heard or read somewhere, however I am not 100% sure... Also I don't know whether these things are the only differences between the infinium and the non-infinium version, and if it's really worth paying around 50% more for the infinium version.
Therefore I have turned to one of my most trustworthy sources of information, opinions and assistance: this forum Can anyone help me on this and give me a short walkthrough on the pros (and cons) of the Infinium versions of Bugera amps, and explain to me what the infinium hocus-pocus-thingy really does to the amp? I would really appreciate it, as would my friend!
well I would say the ability to mix tubes is a HUGE pro, and well worth the price.
Hats of to Bugera, that feature is to fucking awesome
