Default Mark V

Now that I've had mine for 3 years I can definitely say two things.

1) C90>V30
2) You won't regret purchasing a mark V

I have Mesa 4x12s with both. The c90s are definitely my choice for playing "in the room", but the v30s record much, much better.

I had a 2X12 with C90's in it , don't you guys think it sounds much better when pushing
some air thru it than it does at lower volumes?
I ended up sellling mine and keeping the 2X12 Recto cab becuase it sounded much better at lower volume (to me anyway) than the C90 loaded cab.
Now with the Axe II I wish I still had it as it was a much more "neutral " sounding speaker than the V30 is.

I don't need no stinking tubes

I don't play at low volume, so I can not say.

With Marks, though? I've come to appreciate the V30 more with certain amps, and there is no doubt that my Recto Mini even sounds better with them in the room, but I always thought the C90s were pretty much designed to pair with the Mark series.

C90s are ideal with Marks, imo.

V30s still sound great, though. I'm running a Port City 2X12 with V30s and with the port, it sounds positively ridiculous.

I wish I had kept mine long enough to try it with my Mark IV, I was using it with my Rectoverb

No, but with the Road King, Uberschall and Budda Superdrive 45.

I honestly don't even pull out the c90 cab for recording anymore, the v30 cab "just works".

That's what I've found as well. It feels weird to want to play with one speaker and record with another, but it does work that way for me.
