Default Mesa Boogie Simul-Satellite Head

...What?

Mesa Boogie Simul-Satellite Head | eBay

Can't say I ever saw this on the M/B website before. Is this just a power amp in a head-shell?

Looks like an extension for a Mark IV. The only Mesa document that talks about it is the Mark IV manual.

link to a discussion of it:

It looks like it's a whole amp, just with a limited preamp for running daisy chained or in stereo. Weird!

Too much focus leads to tunnel vision
Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

Yeah I consider myself a bit of a Mesa enthusiast, and I've never heard of this either.

I've never seen one, but heard of them, i think. If its what I'm thinking of, they were made to be run off the slave out of a mark

that's really cool, never seen that before. But it seems more practical to get a traditional rack tube amp lol! But i guess it is the Mark power section ;/

You're correct. I've only seen pictures of the head, but I knew someone with the combo version, and it worked great.

If you were playing stadiums. Who needs TWO Mark IIIs, even the combos?

Dude no doubt! The Mark III is maybe the most ridiculously loud amp I've ever seen. The 1x12 combo with the EV speaker used to drown out my 4x12 barely past 3 when I played with a guy that had one. Sickly loud amp.
