So I went into a local shop with the intent of picking up some great deals on guitars they were having for Father's Day. A few good ones here & there, but then, I heard this KILLER sounding amp that was fired up. I had to see where this glorious sound was coming from. Turns out, it was once of the least likely suspect....a Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18 through a Bogner 4x12. Seriously.....HOLY SHIT! I had to have it. From the moment it was turned on, it attracted the attention of everyone in the store. We gathered around in complete awe. So much tone!
Went home & plugged it into my Mesa 2x12......HOLY SHIT!
Beautiful cleans. Killer high-gain & even more br00tz with the lead boost engaged. Sounds insane at 18w, 5w & 1w. I still can't believe that all that gain is coming from only 2 preamp tubes. TWO!?!?!? You owe to yourself to try one of these.
Anyway, I looking so forward to busting this out for this week's band rehearsal. I pulled out my Line 6 M9 pedal & put it in the FX loops & it even takes that very well. STOKED!
