New Amp, Overdrive, Noise Suppressor, And Other Shit Day.
I was indeed very bad, I spent far more money than I responsibly should have. In preparation for my show this friday, I decided that I would get my rig together as I would like it.
I started with an ISP Decimator, since it's the only gate I've heard work on a gained out 5150 at concert volumes. And then I got a TS9, because hey, I like overdrives, and it's a sick pedal. then I bought a mic stand to replace the one my drummer's brother lost, and a 5 point daisy chain along with two mini cables. Finally, I purchased a little pick holders to slap onto me EC-1000, as well as a piece of plywood to make a legit pedalboard with.
Oh, and then I drove to Phili and bought that VS100 I've been talking up lately. 70 bucks, it works, and looks like a dog, so I like it. I'm gona crank it up tomorrow morning and really get a feel for it and the TS9.
Here is a picture of all of it, complete with plywood, duct tape and scissors, all taken by angling my laptop in the air. Awesome late80s/early 90s TOANZ awaits!
I had a VS100 for a while, with the matching cab. It was pretty cool, but I ended up selling the half-stack for $300 for rent
It seemed to sound better with my old Bad Monkey OD, but not so much with my MaxonOD808. YMMV, though.
