Honestly, since the AxeFX models tubes so well, you may as well just plug into the damned house PA (if you're gigging), or get a lightweight solid-state power amp.

Yeah I have a solid-state power amp but I'm now leaning more towards just selling my cabs and getting two mackie HD monitors. Not sure yet.

If you're thinking FRR wahy not wait for th elatest form Matrix and Atomic to come out before making any Decisions?
I tried Chris's Mackie(had it for a week) it was pretty good but still left me wanting a real cab(fucking crazy loud too). supposedly the Coaxial's coming should feel and sound more "authentic"

I don't need no stinking tubes

I didn't even know Matrix and Atomic were coming out with new models. Sweet.

I've decided to sell the Mesa and 2 of my cabs in the meantime.

Whelp....looks like I'm just gonna sell my Mesa 2:50, 5150 2x12 combo, 3 of my 4x12 cabs, and my Carvin DCM1540L. It's purging time. Haha.

I use Matrix amps myself. They fucking rock. Not to mention I can actually take it to a fly-in gig, which is a most welcome bonus!

Definitely an added bonus! I went to Guitar Center today with my Axe-Fx since they have a Mackie HD1531 on Clearance for $620. Played through a few of my patches and adjusted to suit the Mackie. I was impressed but I don't think I need something that big or powerful. Looks like I'm 95% decided on the Mackie HD1221's or an alternative wedge. I heard the QSC stuff is pretty cool.
