So my mk v head has sold and i have a sizable wad-o-cash to drop on an axe 2.
I've seen one on gumtree (craigslist equivalent) for a good price with the mfc controller for a good price but its quite far away and unless i can arrange a meet up with the seller im not keen on sending the funds without seeing if its legit.
that said if i buy new i probably dont have enough to spend on the controller as well and im also in the market for a bass at the moment!
what other options are there for foot controllers for the axe fx 2? Im assuming the mfc is a bit more 'intelligent' than others when it comes to interacting with the axe fx as well?
On the cheap, the FCB1010 is probably the way to go. I don't know how it holds up gigging, but it gets generally positive reviews over at the FAS boards.
There's also the Yamaha MFC 10:
The MFC is definitely the way to go if you have the coin, since it's designed specifically for the Axe-Fx and has a bajillion options natively built into it that don't require any programming. Stuff like the looper, the multitude of IA switches, 4 expression pedals, and the ability to sync with the unit when you switch patches.
