So, I'm putting together another small rig & the preamp will most likely be an Engl E530 for the preamp. I tried the Engl running into 1 side of a Mesa 20/20. Very nice indeed.
What else is out there in terms of a 1-space tube poweramp?
2-space hasn't been ruled out, but I'd prefer 1-space to keep the rig lightweight & compact.
Secondly, are there any MONO poweramps or are they all stereo? The only poweramp I'm aware of that can do bridged mono & stereo is the Carvin TS100, but that's total overkill for what I need & I didn't care for it when I've tried it.
Mesa 20:20 and Marshall 20/20. Both stereo, both EL84, both 1U.
Fryette LXII, 40w per side, 1U, 6L6-based.
Russian-based R&R Sound does a 1U PWR-150 and PWR-120, which are 50w and 20w monoblock amps. The 150 is $600.
