So, I'm playing through this Avatar 4x12 with V30's, and it sounds very boxy and honky. Then, I play through my Sovtek 4x12 with V30's, and it's warm, full, and dynamic.
Can cab construction make that much difference, or is this Avatar cab just not broken in yet?
Also, the Sovtek V30's are 8 ohms, and the Avatar V30's are 16 ohms, but as I recall, in numerous discussions, ohmage doesn't make a difference…
Seems the answers to those questions depend on who you ask. Why not swap the speakers between the two and let us know what happens?
