    Seismic Audio

Is Seismic Audio crap, or awesome? Any personal experience?

I've talked to a couple of professional (and very good) live sound engineers lately who swear by the shit. As I understand, it's like a little family operation in Memphis that "designs," imports and sells Chinese knock-off products for about half the price of the equivalent big-name item.

Normally that would concern me regarding quality, but I know people who have been blasting these at a hundred gigs a year for three years and not blown the speakers or been disappointed in the sound.

Check out the company called Alto. They're made by Akai and are getting great reviews and have great prices.

My buddy has some of their floor monitors. I haven't really tried them. He loves them, but he is far from a cork sniffer so maybe he just tolerates them because of the price? IDK.
