The only guitar companies that's been able to pull off both guitar and amp manufacturing is Fender & a close second to Gibson & maybe Gretsch (which is now Fender owned). Ibanez amps where eh. Anyone else?
And Peavey does a bit of everything. Some better than others, but they do some great amps now (65XX series, Budda, Classic series, VB series, etc.) and some great guitars and basses (the old Wolfgangs, the HPs., the Cirruses, the Grinds, etc.)
Vox also makes some very solid guitars now in addition to the amps.
I am actually pretty anxious to see what they offer, and at what price point. I have a feeling this could surprise us with something awesome. Probably a few crap budget amps, but the "flagship" model may be awesome and fairly affordable. I am Really excited for the USA production shop, especially if they put out a bunch of PTs and non humbucker Strats.
