    Inner-workings of amps and pedals?

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for some references on what makes our gear "tick" so to speak (why X component makes Y component work in Z way). I'm looking for something pretty in-depth on all of it, but don't even know where to start in Google-land.

Any good links for me to check out?

For amps this is a good place to start: - The Cooperative Tube Guitar Amp Project

For distortion/overdrive pedals, much of the theory carries over.
