First off... the Ibanez RG8. Cool. Cheap.
The Hipshot Open Gear Locking Tuners. Good price. About $82 shipped and pre-drilled on the lowest 2 to accept larger string gauges if you get them from the place I did. I like them better than the Sperzels on all my other guitars. They seem smoother and don't have the "slack" that I feel in the Sperzels. Then again, maybe it's all the cheap beer talking. But I like them. They look cool and that's all that really matters.
The EMG 808X. Less output than your normal 808 but still hot-ish. Cleans aren't the greatest but then again, I never really use a clean channel so I don't care. I have an acoustic for cleans like a real man... or something.
In the vid, my mic setting might have been a bit hot so that might have caused a bit of "dirt" on the clean part. Either way, it works for me. No place I could find had any cheapish passives in stock at the time and I didn't really feel like making a new pickguard for this thing to make it look decent. It's originally a $400 guitar so fuck it. I'm not spending a ton of money on it.
Vid with 808X and my shitty skillz!
Looks good, sounds good, love the tuners. Also, incredible job of getting it to hang on the wall horizontally like that with only the one guitar hanger by the nut.
