Now i know you can just take one in and get a new one if its not cut or fucked up at all but its not working. Is the a limit on how many times you can do this?
I know craftsman has the same deal, but these days when you do it, they give you a tool with a diffrent color or marking to show its a tool that you got for your broken one and wont let you do it a 2nd time.
i don't have an answer to your question; however, I read a yahoo story about how Sears basically steals and rips off designs of other tool manufacturers - including small-time American-made tools that they carry on their own shelves - and incorporates the concepts into their Craftsman design, which is produced in China for lower costs.
What I read was an article on loggerhead tools, from Yahoo. While the following link is to a different write-up, it might provide enough background..... According to Sears Responds to LoggerHead Tools’ Bionic Wrench Patent Infringement Allegations | ToolGuyd, maybe Loggerhead doesn't have a case.... but Sears sure seems far from the high-road.
