It's old, and it's beat, but this tired looking bastard still works and sounds exactly as I remember it. It's the sound of 14-year-old me learning to play old Maiden tunes, and it is fucking awesome. This was made in 1990.

I forgot how easy to use this thing is. It has a handful of effects, each effect has 3 settings, and the sliders control them. So you just cursor over to the effect you want to "edit", adjust the sliders, and that's it. The output on it is uber-low, so in order to get it into my DAW I am actually running it into my bass DI, just to preamp the signal.

I'll make a video of it this weekend and throw up a few clips, and I have to think that only us old fucks (Me, Lee, probably Mike) will understand the appeal.

    This was $90 well spent.

I'd seen a couple on the 'bay over the years in actual working condition (and a shitload of DOA/Parts Only ones for absurd prices), but the ones that actually worked were more than I was willing to pay. This company here actually sells refurb ones for around $250 with a warranty, but my nostalgia budget was around a hundred bucks.

I've still got mine it's in semi-working condition. Bought it new when they first came out. Nothing worse than a young sailor with a pocket full of fly-away money and no bills.

My opinion at the time was this thing was leaps and bounds ahead of anything else on the market - for the money. Portable with tons of easy to use good sounding effects.

The 9002 Served me very well.
