So, I have a small storage room I keep my rig in and close the door to record stuff for isolation. The thing is, I want to put some longer cables from the effects loop so I can put my pedal board outside the rig room.
I know in front of an amp, long cables can degrade our signal without a buffer. I'm sure the same is true in the effects loop? How many feet does it usually take to start effecting things?
Iv got a couple 18 footers I was going to use with a buffered pedal in the middle, but I don't want tone suck.

15-20 feet is where you'll start getting bleed off. Assuming your pedals aren't all true bypass, you'll be fine on the way back. Worth a shot. Try plugging them in up close. And comparing with the short cables.
