Not bad for a one-off homebuild DIY project... a 500w x2 stereo tube amp!
This is just the amplifier without the power supply (and 20x KT88s, IIRC):
Stereo preamp, one side with a Fender tonestack, the other with an Ampeg-ish one:
Amp + power supply together on a (much-needed) custom dolly:
The transformers on the bottom half of the "head" (I think these are the output transformers):
Some cooling and the current power supply with some small custom transformers:
At testing, it will provide 540W/side before clipping. Due to the 1900s-era wiring in his house, though, he's only been able to get up to ~950W running both sides as it drops his 120V power to 113V
I really want to hear it.
