So for many years I've been against Marshalls in nearly all forms. Something about them never quite sat right with me. However somethings changed in me recently, and after listening to Mattayus's Iced Earth Tone Clone thing, I realised that maybe I'd been unnecessarily harsh against the things over the years.
I tried out a Marshall JVM410H in a local store, and could not dial it in right, but I could hear something in the tone to my liking. After talking with the guys at the shop, they mentioned that the cab it was going through was a notoriously fizzy cab (why you would have that in the demo room as the main cab to use I don't know), and I was convinced with a different cab it would sound much better.
Cue me selling all my pedals (as I just wasn't getting on with them anyway), and enough of them sold this past week to get me a new amp, and here it is!
Obligatory Ukulele shot
Dodgy iPhone pics I know, but I'm sure you've all seen them before!
I knocked together a quick clip with one of my bands recent recordings, and already with placing the microphone just about anywhere in front of the speaker and hitting record, it sounds better than the tone we were going to use on the recording....damnit
Ignore dodgy playing and all that.
So, is anyone going to buy Peavey or what?
JVMs are such badass amps.
