I bought JamUp Pro XT for my phone a while ago, and last week the interface showed up. I'm still waiting on my string order to show up, and am still using the stock pickups in my RG8, so it wasn't ideal, but from comparing the two, I think JamUp sounds better than my Pod HD. The Pod has more tweakability, but I've never liked having to tweak that much (stuff like cab settings and tube bias). The Pod seems a bit more versatile, but JamUp sounds more natural to me, where the Pod seems to sound more sterile and digital. And JamUp's way more convenient.
How do you guys like JamUp after having it for a while? I'm seriously debating selling my Pod so I can finally get a small tube head again. I only kept it around because it's a lot easier to record with than mic'ing a real rig, but I think JamUp could replace that. I just want to make sure there aren't any downsides that I haven't come across yet.
I've been toying with the idea myself. would be handy to have as an easy portable jam rig when I go to a buddy's place to record. hell, I might actually make the jump from android over to iOS based on jamup alone if I can control the app with my own midi gear. specially if it sounds better than a Pod HD.
have you fooled around with any of it's midi capabilities? if I can assign a program change number to each rig/preset and control cc values for volume/wah, that'd be one more reason to make the jump.
