Well more like NAWeekend. I found a used Mini Rectifier for a really good price so I figured I'd try it out and if I didn't like it better than my HT-5H, I'd return it. I got it Thursday and hadn't really had time to mess with it. I live in a townhouse with neighbors on each side. So today I waited patiently until 11am to start playing around so not to piss anyone off. I'm in the basement so I thought I was good.
I put the amp onto the 25w setting and started out at like 7:15 with the volume with 3 O'clock gain. I barely get it to 7:30 when the banging on the walls starts up from the neighbors. So I had to tune it back to just where sound just starts to be audible. It is like having a Porsche and being told you need to keep it under 15mph.
I thought it was small enough that I wouldn't have to get an attenuator, I see there are plenty of posts in favor of Webers and THD that won't break the bank. I'll start hunting on ebay/CL.
Damn that sucks about your neighbors, man. I had a mini for about a week, and it was awesome. Worth $1,000? Meh. But it was great. If I were you I'd get an AxeFx or pod so I could plug&play with headphones. Good luck man!
