Very odd. Both in terms of the pedal, and me actually buying it. It's been 20 years since I last bought an FX stompbox, with the exception of a wah about 10 years ago. I just don't go in for them, typically (I go for multi-effects units). But something about this caught my attention. I'm always playing shit that's like, middle-Eastern influenced scales and melody lines, using that flat 2nd/flat 6th interval in riffs, my obsession with the Phrygian mode/melodic minor scale... it just made sense. I've always had a thing for droning, monotonous music, the 'The End' from The Doors, sitar music, too, so... yeah. Still have to get the hang of it. But it's cool.
I have 2 expression pedals hooked up to it, 1) to control the sympathetic string volume, and 2) the other to do pitch bending. The pedal is playing the piezo out from my guitar, going into my Zoom acoustic simulator MFX pedal.
Great name for the pedal, too. Ravish/Ravi Shankar. Nice.
The drone sounds alone sound phenomenal.
