I want to be able to do these:
1) connect my .mp3 player to my amp so I can jam along with tracks. Since the amp is mono this will require a stereo to mono cord, right? If I were to use a stereo cord I would only get the left channel coming out of the amp, yes?
2) connect my .mp3 player to a stereo so I can jam along with tracks. This will require a stereo to stereo cable in order to get left and right channels, right? Now what if some of the stereos I'm going to use have a single stereo input and others have separate left and right inputs? Will I need to get a splitter as well?
2) those cables are fairly easy to come by. such as this: 3 5mm to 1 8" RCA Aux Audio Input Adapter Cable for MP3 Zune iPod iPhone | eBay
Any electronics store should have a cable like that.
on your stereo this is generally the AUX input.
