How bad are the amps themselves? I'm in the market for a bedroom/practice amp, and the more versatile the better. The phone EQing thing is kinda cool, but I don't care too much about that one way or the other. I'm mostly interested in it as a versatile practice amp, and being able to use that as a semi-portable music player is a bonus (and will hopefully help sway the fiancÚ
FWIW, I'm okay with the tones of the PODs, I just didn't like all the tweaking and lack of portability (all the setup, it wasn't an amp you carry into the living room and just plug in and jam on it). If the EQing for the Amplifi is more like Jamup with parameters more like you'd see on a physical amp, I'd seriously consider this.

This. I have JamUp on my phone and love it. I sold my HD Bean because of it. If they made a smallish combo, I'd get it. Especially if I could stream music through it, too.
