So due to family issues, I went and spent some time with my little brother a few weeks ago. We decided to pop into the "local" music store (where I bought my second guitar, first tube amp, tracked my first songs...) and say hi, see what was in stock.
I've been considering a decent combo for cleans and jams for a little while, and they happened to have a '69 Super Reverb and '76 Pro Reverb that came in on trade. The Super had been completely retubed but otherwise was stock, and the Pro was all stock.
After about an hour and a half of going between the two with an A/B pedal and the PRS, I messaged my bandmate and said "hey, should I buy this amp?" "sure, if it's going to be your clean amp." "ok, I'm buying it."
Proud owner of a '76 Fender Pro Reverb 212. Killer clean tones, came on casters, even has the original manual! Really hoping I don't have to get rid of it, because having a nice clean combo in the stable is usually a good idea.
