    New Amp Upgrade?

Okay guys, so my Main rig is a Marshall MG100HDFX with a 4x12 cab, which i use in my basement for jamming and gigging, and it works just fine, solid amp, however, i just ordered a loaded S7 2x12 and im looking for a new head, I really would like to upgrade to a tube amp, but i really dont have a lot of money, This amp is for my room and recording/small medium gigs, id like a really clean, articulate and heavy sounding amp, and my budget is like 500, any advice? thanks mates

I don't have any experience in budget tube amps so I'm really no help here.
That said, periods and commas aren't the same thing, brotha.

    Jet City JCA22H or JCA50H.

I agree with Josh on the Jet city amps, and also there's the Blackstar Ht Metal series and the Randall diavlos to consider as well.

Jet City, Randall RD20, or if you don't mind going used/solid state, Randall V2 or T2 or Peavey Rockmaster with a used Rocktron Velocity 100 or ART SLA.

If you're going new, all of the stuff mentioned already (Blackstar, Jet City, Diavlo) are definitely the 'go too' brands on that budget and you should probably be happy with any of those.

If you go used, there are a ton of options. That price puts you well into Peavey 5150/3120 range, as well as Marshall JCM900 SL-X or Mesa DC/.50 Cal+ territory. I also believe there are some Laney Ironhearts available in that price range (used and new) or close to it.

If you're set on having a tube head (as opposed to a modeler or anything like that), those would be a couple decent places to start.
